管理与经济学部关于国际期刊分级的建议原则
为了鼓励管理与经济学部教师将研究成果在国际高水平期刊上发表，提升学部的国际知名度，同时为了对教师的学术业绩进行评估和考核、对博士生、硕士生的研究成果进行考评，在原天津大学管理与经济学部制定的关于国际期刊的界定的基础上，结合学科的发展和国际规范，参考美国商学院前100名研究能力评估参考的24种顶级期刊（由美国得克萨斯大学达拉斯分校发布，简称UT/DALLAS 24种）、英国商学院协会（the Association of Business School, 简称ABS）出版的高质量学术期刊指南（ABS Academic Journal Quality Guide）和英国金融时报（Financial Times）界定的45中管理类一流学术期刊（简称FT/45），考虑到管理类及相关期刊数量很大，期刊列表不可能列出所有期刊，原来的国际期刊分类也存在着一些不尽合理地方。
经学部研究决定，管理与经济学部对管理类及相关国际期刊进行重新界定，根据期刊的学术水平和影响力，参考以上国际规范，将国际期刊分为4级：顶级期刊、权威期刊、重要期刊和一般期刊。
分级原则如下：
顶级期刊(Tier 1 ) :
UT/DALLAS 界定的24种期刊；
ABS 4星级期刊
JCR分区中SCI一区的期刊（不限领域）。
权威期刊(Tier 2):
不属于顶级期刊但属于：
金融时报45种期刊
ABS 三级及以上且被SCI检索源期刊
JCR分区中SCI三区及以上的期刊（不限领域）
SSCI检索源期刊。
重要期刊（Tier3）：
不属于顶级或权威期刊但属于SCIE检索源期刊（不限领域）
一般期刊（Tier 4）：
未进入SCIE/SSCI检索源的以下期刊：
ABS期刊
属于Elsevier/Springer /John Wiley/ Taylor &Francis/ Emerald/Kluwer /Blackwell/World Scientific国际知名出版机构的期刊
管理与经济及相关领域国际一流学术机构的学术期刊
上述一般期刊要有证据表明期刊为同行评议论文期刊（peer reviewed）

1、UT/DALLAS、金融时报和ABS期刊分类界定的一流期刊列表均依据最新出版年份确定，详见附录1、2。
2、SCI 分区基于最新的JCR分区报告，参见天津大学图书馆JCR 分区检索。
