The primary goal of this series is to help the learners use Chinese to exchange information and to communicate their ideas. The unique characteristic of this series is the use of the Communicative Approach adopted in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. The five books are continuous and ongoing, so they can be taught within any time span.HOW TO USE Chinese Made EasyHere are a few suggestions from the authors:Some new words are usually included in listening comprehension exercises to challenge the students. We suggest that the teacher go over the questions for the exercises with the students before they actually listen to the recording.Before practising the oral exercises in the textbook, the teacher should introduce the suggested vocabulary or phrases.The teacher should encourage the students to use their dictionary skills whenever appropriate, so that the students can extend their reading skills independently.The students are encouraged to research information on the internet and use other resources for their essay writing. The word limit for each piece of essay writing is to be decided by the teacher or the students according to their ability and level.The text for each lesson, listening comprehension exercises and reading texts are on the CDs attached to the textbook.
