一．名词的简单分类：

三．可数名词单复数规则变化：
1. 一般情况下：直接加s, 如：book→books pen→pens car →c ars apple→apples
2. 以s, x, ch, sh 结尾的，加es, 如：bus→buses
box→boxes watch→watch es
wish→wishes
3. ○
1以辅音字母加y 结尾的，先改y 为i ，再加es, 如：city→cities family→families party→parties ○
2以元音字母（a, e, i, o, u ）加y 结尾的，直接加s, 如：boy→boys day→days toy →toys
4. 以f 或fe 结尾的，一般先改f 或fe 为v ，再加es, 如：knife→knives wife →wives leaf→leaves
注意：roof →roof s
cliff →cliff s (悬崖)
chief →chief s
巧计：小偷（thief ）的妻子（wife ）用刀子（knife ）和树叶（leaf ）把狼（wolf ）劈成了两半（half ）。

1以o 结尾的，有生命的名词加es, 如：tomato→tomatoes potato→potatoes hero→heroes
巧计：黑人（Negro ）英雄（hero ）爱吃土豆（potato ）炖西红柿（tomato ）。

2以o 结尾的，无生命的名词加s, 如：photo→photos zoo→zoos radio→radios
四．可数名词单复数不规则变化：三人，四动物，两器官
man →men
sheep→sheep tooth→teeth
三人：
woman →women
四动物： deer→deer 两器官： child →children
fish→fish
foot→feet
mouse→mice
