I’ve got a meeting at 5 o’clock.M: When do you think it will end?W: I’m not sure. Still, I should be home by eight. If I think I’ll be later than 8 o’clock I’ll call you.M: OK. It’s nice now that your office is in City Square. You don’t have to travel very far at all.W: I certainly appreciate it. I’d better go now. Take care. I’ll see you later. Bye bye.Text 8M: Yes. I’m Edgar Davis from the Insurance Company.W: I’m sorry, Mr Davis, but Ryan’s not here today. He wasn’t feeling well, so I told him to stay at home.M: That’s too bad. He called me about some insurance for his car. Would you give these forms to him, please? W: Certainly.M: Tell him to read the instructions carefully.W: Yes, I will tell him.M: And please tell him to fill in the forms correctly. He should answer all of the questions.W: I understand. Anything else?M: No, I think that’s all. He can call me if he has any questions.Text 9M: Mum, can I have a party next weekend?W: You are not to invite the Edwards’ boy, are you? Because I’m not having him in the house.M: All right, Mum. Well, can I?W: You remember what happened last time?M: Oh, come on, Mum. We will be very careful. We need to get this meeting started because we have a lot to do before graduation. Thank you all for electing me as your chairman and I will do my best to make sure we have a great graduation ceremony. I just need all of your cooperation to get everything running smoothly.You have all been selected by your departments to plan the graduation. You should all feel honored that your classmates thought highly of you. Right now a sheet of paper is going around that I need you all to fill out. Pleasewrite down your name, telephone number, and what part of the graduation you would like to help organize. Please keep in mind that all the parts of the graduation require a great deal of time and devotion. So please sign up only for a part that you have time for. When you have signed the paper with your name, telephone number and part, please place the paper on my desk. At our next meeting on Friday, we will break up in groups and get to work on everything.
