培根-论读书--读后感

Bacon's Essay" for the well-known seventeenth-century English thinker, statesman and philosopher Francis Bacon written by empiricism. The book is divided into "On the quest for knowledge," "On Beauty", "On the Good," "On Truth," "On health", "On Family," "On Friendship" and many essays. In "On the quest for knowledge", the Bacon said: "Man's nature is like the wild flowers, seeking knowledge, learning is like pruning transplanting." Visible quest for knowledge can change people's destiny, in our lives is very important. "On Friendship", the Bacon said: "If you bring happiness to tell a friend, you will get two happiness; and if you sad to confide in a friend, you will be minutes away half the sadness." This shows friends an essential role in around us, you can add color to our lives. In dozens of Suibi in impressed me most is "On Beauty." This is one of "America" in classic, language simple, profound message is full of philosophy. "America" itself is a very broad question, this article focuses on how people should treat the external beauty and inner beauty problems. There is no one is perfect, so do not complain about his external defects, only the inner beauty is eternal beauty. The United States and Germany more important than beauty, the aesthetic appearance of virtue and beauty combined, the United States issued a truly brilliant. Text there is such a word: "physical beauty to be better than the color of beauty, grace acts of beauty is better than physical beauty." Shape a person's overall image of the shape. Color refers to facial appearance, primarily the face, be partial. The behavior of the United States, refers to gestures action demeanor is acquired, is the inner beauty reflected in performance in the three highest. Now, some people only pay attention to the beauty of appearance, while ignoring the inherent, although they have a beauty, but because of the lack of cultivation not deserve to be a beautiful compliment. Therefore, a dress is not luxury but a dignified and solemn while the United States and Germany people are very respectable. Hence, the morphology of the United States combined with the virtues of beauty bar. Only in this way, each will radiate the true brilliance.
Reflection on Francis Bacon's 培根<论读书>读后感
In what sense does reading make a full man?
From my perspective, a full man should have a positive world view and adopt an active philosophy of life, which are usually based on a balanced knowledge structure. Those are what reading can help us to obtain.
Francis Bacon says “Histor ies make men wise, poets, witty; the mathematics, subtle; natural philosophy, deep; moral, grave; logic and rhetoric, able to contend.” Indeed, reading books of various fields contributes to perfect our knowledge structure and form critical thinking. Take history for example, it is like a mirror that reflects what is right and what is wrong. By looking into it, we can learn painful lessons of past events or gain precious experience to deal with present situation better. As a result, less mistakes are made. By reading books on natural philosophy, we know more about the mysterious world so that we think deep and are more likely to view the world in a dialectic materialistic way than a idealistic one. As to literature, we are experiencing different lifestyles and emotions as we follow the development of a novel or a poem. We see people of various characters; we share with them their happiness and soreness. In that way, we are able to taste what might not happen to us in real life, and then ask ourselves what we would do in that situation. That is why literature enthusiasts are usually more tolerant, more open-minded to diverse opinions; that is why they compose themselves more easily once they are confronted by emergency.
As I have stated above, reading books of certain field brings certain knowledge and ability you lack. “There is no stond of impediment in the wit but may be wrought out by fit studies” Broad re ading provides full knowledge and ability which gradually evolve into a way of thinking, a way of living. That is what makes a full man: a man with positive world view and active philosophy of life.。
