How to Use
Read the book to the student. At the top of each page, the student is asks if baby bird is behind certain objects/animals in the forest. The student is then prompted to lift the flap and look. They will then answer yes/no (verbally or by pointing to the symbol). The student then will match the picture symbols to the box in the phrase and verbalize the phrase (“I found a _____”). Tapping the boxes as they say it (model when appropriate) encourages verbalization! They will then put the animal that they found in the forest (the large forest scene with velcro dots).
