Unit1：Changes in My Hometown
In the past ten years, great changes have taken place in my hometown. In the past, there used to be old houses. The river was very dirty. The roads were narrow and the living conditions were hard. People went to work on foot or by bike. But now, there are many tall buildings in my hometown. The river is clean and the water is clear. There are many ring roads and the living conditions are comfortable. People usually go to work by bus or by car.
I am glad to see these great changes in my hometown. I think my hometown will be much more beautiful in the future.I think it is important to remember the past,live in the present and dream about the future.
Unit2：Pollution
There are many kinds of pollution around us,including air pollution,litter,water pollution,soil pollution,noise pollution and light pollution.So far,they have had side effects which are bad for our health in many ways.So we should take measures to protect our environment.
First,we should plant more trees.Trees can stop the wind from blowing the earth away.They can also stop the water from washing the earth away.Second,we shouldn’t leave rubbish here and st but no least,our government should do something useful to protect our environment such as setting up some laws.
As a student,we should do everything we can to protect the environment from now on.
Unit3：How to learn English well
With the development of the reform and opening-up,English has become more and more important.But how to learn English well is still a big problem that many students face.The following suggestions can help you learn English well.
For listening,you can listen to English songs and watch English movies.For speaking,you should go to the English corner to practice spoken English with other people. For reading,you ought to read some English books,novels and stories.For writing,you need to have pen pals.Then you must keep in touch with them as often as possible.
By doing so,you will make progress in learning English.。
