A Lion and a little mouse
When a lion was asleep, a little mouse began running up and down beside him. This soon wakened the lion. He was very angry, and caught the mouse in his paws.
“Forgive me, please,” cried the little mouse. “I may be able to help you someday.” The lion was laughed at these words. “What? You help me? Are you kidding? ” Then he thought, “How could this little mouse help me?” However he lifted up his paws and let him go.
A few days later, the lion was caught in a trap.
Just then the little mouse passed by and saw the sad lion. “Don’t worry, I will help you,” asked the little mouse.
He went up to him, and soon gnawed away the ropes. “Was I not right?”asked the little mouse. The lion was very happy and hug the little mouse, he said, “Thank you, you have saved my life. Can we become friends? ”The little mouse proudly said, “Of course,yes !”
The story told us not to underestimate the true friends. Though inconsiderable, sometimes these friends may be provided significant help when we are in trouble.

狮子与报恩的老鼠
狮子睡着了,有只老鼠在它的周围爬上爬下,很快吵醒了狮子,狮子很生气,一把抓住了老鼠。
“饶了我吧,”老鼠请求说,“也许有一天我能帮上你的忙呢。
”狮子觉得很好笑,“什么?你帮助我?你在开玩笑吧?”它想:“这只小老鼠怎么能帮上我的忙呢?”但它还是抬起爪子放它走了。
不久,狮子被陷阱困住了。
这时,老鼠路过这里,看到了绝望中的狮子,“别担心,我会帮助你的。
它走过去,很快啃断了绳索,说:“我虽小,可是我也能帮上你的忙。
”狮子非常开心的拥抱小老鼠,说:“谢谢你,你救了我的命。
我们可以做朋友吗?”小老鼠骄傲的说:“当然可以啦”
寓意:有些朋友也许平时看似微不足道,但却有可能在我们身处困境的时候提供巨大的帮助。

The Ant and the Dove
An ant is walking by the river. He looks at the river and says to himself, “how nice and cool this water looks! I must drink some of it.” But when he is drinking, he slips into the water.
“Oh. Help! Help!” the ant cries. A dove is sitting in the tree. She hears him and throws him a leaf, “Climb up that leaf,” she says “and you will float bank.” The ant climbs up onto the leaf, and the wind blows the leaf to the bank. And the ant is saved.
“Thank you, Dove. You’re so kind.” The ant says and runs home. “You have saved my life, and I wish I could do something for you, goodbye.”“Goodbye!” says the dove. “Be careful, not to fall into the river again.”After a few days, the dove is building her nest. And a man is raising his gun to shoot her. The ant sees this, and runs quickly to bite the man’s leg. “Ouch! Ouch!” The man feels pained and drops his gun. The dove hears and flies away, so the man picks up his gun and leave.
The dove comes to her nest. “Thank you, my little friend,” she says, “you have saved my life.” The little ant is so glad, because he can help the dove.

蚂蚁与鸽子
一只蚂蚁在河边散步。
他看见河水自言自语道:“这河水看上去真清凉啊!我要去喝点。
”可是他在喝水的时候,一不小心滑进河里了。
“啊!救命啊!救命啊!”蚂蚁叫喊着。
一只鸽子正呆在树上,听见呼救声,就扔给他一片树叶。
“快爬到树叶上去,”她说:“你会漂到岸上的。
”
“谢谢你,鸽子。
你真善良。
”蚂蚁一边说一边向家跑。
“你救了我的命,我会报答你的,再见!”
“再见!小心别掉进河里了,”鸽子说。
几天后,鸽子正在筑巢,一个人举着枪要打鸽子。
蚂蚁看见了,迅速地跑过去,在那个人的腿上咬了一口。
“哎呀!哎呀!”那个人疼得扔掉枪,鸽子听见了叫声,连忙飞走了。
那个人只好捡起枪走了。
鸽子又飞回巢里。
“谢谢你,我的小朋友们。
”鸽子说,“你救了我的命。
”小蚂蚁可高兴了,因为他也帮助了鸽子。

Wolf is coming
There is a haughty boy in a village. He likes telling lies. One day he wants to make fun of the farmers. So he shouts,”Wolf, wolf! Wolf is coming! ” The kind farmers are working in the field. When they hear the shout, they hurry to help the boy. But when they get there, the boy says: There isn’t a wolf. I’m joking. The farmers are angry and go back to their field. After a while, the boy shouts again,” Wolf, wolf! Wolf is coming!”And the farmers come again. The boy laughs at the farmers. They say:”You are always telling lies. We won’t believe you.” After a while, here really comes a wolf. The boy is very scared.”Wolf, wolf! Wolf is coming!” The boy shouts loudly.” Help! Help! ” But no one comes. And the wolf eats the haughty boy.

村里有个淘气的小男孩,他非常喜欢说谎。
有一天,他想捉弄村民,就大喊:“狼来了!狼来了!”善良的村民正在地里干活,听到喊声,就赶快去救他。
但是他们到了那里,男孩却说;“其实没有狼,我和你们开玩笑呢。
”村民很生气,回到田地里。
过了一会,男孩又大喊“狼来了!狼来了!”村民们听到后,赶快去救他,却又被骗了。
男孩大笑不止,村民说:“你总是说谎,我们再也不会相信你了。
”过了一会儿,狼真的来了,男孩吓坏了,大喊“狼来了!狼来了!救救我!”可是却没有一个人相信他,最后他被狼吃掉了。
