The graph shows the changes in the number of people at a subway station in Beijing within a day.
The busiest time of the day is in the morning. There is a sharp increase between 6:00 and 8:00, with over 400 people using the station at 8 o'clock. From then on the number drops quickly to less than 200 at 10 o'clock. Between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., the number rises, with a maximum of 300 people using
the station. After this, the number declines, with less than 100 using the station at 4 p.m.. There is then a rapid rise
to a peak of 400 at 6 p.m.. After 7 p.m., numbers fall significantly, with only a slight increase again from 8 p.m.
to 9 p.m..
In conclusion, the graph shows that the rush hours of the station are in the early morning and early evening periods.

In 1994 there were only about 6 million outbound tourists from China. This rose sharply to about 16 million in 2002, which was more than double of the figure for 1994. In the following two years, the number of tourists started to pick up again and reached 28 million in 2004,
which more than quadrupled the number in 1994.
