• Step by step procedure to export a deformed geometry
2) RMB on « geometry synthesis -> initial geometry 3) RMB on Initial geometry -> Convert to parasolid

Solution
At this step the created bodies are surfaces : 1) RMB on « parasolid geometry » -> add a sew tool
When selecting « Solid » in the tree, the body has to appear deformed

After that, link a FE Modeler box on the model of the duplicated analysis

On the project page, duplicate the initial mechanical analysis

Open the previously duplicated analysis

2) Select surface bodies and « apply » 3) RMB on parasolid geometry -> export to parasolid file

Solution
If your CAD doesn’t support parasolid files : 1) Create a geometry box on the project page 2) Select the parasolid file created previously 3) In DM export to the desired format (stp, iges…)
Update the model line and refresh FE Modeler. Open FE Modeler

In FE Modeler : 1) RMB on « Skin Detection Tool » -> create skin components
In Mechanical, RMB on Geometry > -> « Update geometry from results file » (beta options have to be active)
