S: Mona Lisa.T: Do you know who painted it?S: 达芬奇T: Yes, it is Leonardo Da Vinci. What do you know about him?S: He is an artist.S: He is famous for ….S: He is an Italian…Step II Pre-reading (10mins)T: Great! He is an artist and he has made a contribution to arts. Is that so? (The teacher writes the word “artist”,then “art” on the blackboard)The two words are both related to arts.Would you please give me more words about arts? … Such as the place where it is usually displayed or exhibited, the drawing style, the tools used… Any words related are okay! S: …T: Any more? (By this means the teacher will get a great deal of words. Then just choose some important words and write it on the blackboard.)Very good. Now read after me!S: …T: Well done, guys! You are quite familiar with arts? But do you like it?S: Yes.T: I have several paintings here. Tell me which one you like best, the traditional one using brush and ink or the western one? Group2 like picture 2 painted by Pablo Picasso. Actually they both are worldly famous artists. And you seem to have some knowledge about them, but not enough, say, their drawing style? Don’t worry! We are going to learn a passage to get more information about them. Ready?S: Yes!T: Turn to page 32. Read the passage quickly then divide this passage into two parts. You have only 3 minute! Where is the first paragraph?S: A to D is paragraph 1. E to F is paragraph 2.T: What’s the first paragraph’s about? Or give me the reason that you divide it here?S: …T: Right! Paragraph A B C D mainly describe 4 artists, while E and F are the attitudes towards the paintings.
