一、选题依据（包括目的、意义、国内外现状和发展趋势，主要参考文献）：
The famous English translator, one of the representatives ofLiteral TranslationGeorge Steiner’s hermeneutic translation theory based on Martin Heidegger’s hermeneutics is its application in modern translation theory. He presents this theory inAfter Babel:Aspects of Language and Translationand enunciates the four-beat model of the “hemeneutic motion” and the importance of translator’s subjectivity in translating process. Since its first edition in 1975, the book has become a powerful monumental work from a hemeneutic perspective. Many scholorsbothin China and on abroad have done a number of studies on Steiner’s theory from different perspectives. This thesis aims to do some analysis ona part ofLi Zhaoguo’s translation version ofYellow Emperor’s Canon of Medicine-Plain Conversationfrom the hemeneutic translation theory, in order to probe deeply into the translator’s subjective position during the translating process of classics of tranditional Chinese medicine and help improve the disseminationandpopularizationof TCM to western countries.

四、创新之处：
Previous studies are mostly done from traditional perspectives especially linguistics, and few attentions have been paid on the translator’s role during the translating progress of TCM classics. The author of present thesis researches the translator’s subjective position by analyzing a concrete translation case under the hemeneutic translation theory, in order to provide a more intuitionistic and comprehensive view.
