2．确定叙述的人称：选择合适的人称为主题服务。
如果要叙述细腻的人物内心活动、丰富的思想感情，选用第一人称的叙述方式比较合适；如果叙述需要比较广阔的发挥空间，那么，用第三人称就可以真实、客观地完成全过程的叙述。
3．确定叙述的内容：首先确立中心思想。

4．确定叙述的方式：叙述的结构要合理安排，情节要合理安排。
叙述方式有顺叙、倒叙和插叙。
其中，最常用的叙述方式是按照时间顺序，事情发生、发展的顺序进行叙述。
这种顺叙的方式在英文写作中最常见。
5．选用合适的时态叙述：例如，事情发生在过去的过去，就用过去完成时叙述。
一般按时间顺序发生的事，用一般过去时。
根据具体情况，还可以用到过去进行时和过去将来时。
