《1990年教育法例》(Education Act
(1990)) 規定，所有家長必須確保達到強制教育年齡的兒童在學校開學期間每天上學；除非有合理的原因，否則不能缺席。

如果學生沒有上學，家長必須在子女缺勤之後七天內向學校作出合理的請假解釋。

我們之前也已經向你明確指出，如果家長沒能確保自己的子女按時上學，或是在子女缺勤之後未能作出令人滿意的請假解釋，則可能構成嚴重的違法行為。

根據法例，違法的家長最高可被罰款$11,000。
