然而高职学生尤其是高职非英语专业学生的英语写作能力却并不尽如人意,一个重要原因就是他们写作过程中出现的错误阻碍了其写作能力的提高。

因此,本文试图通过对高职非英语专业学生英语写作错误进行分析,从而探索出行之有效的对策,从而提高学生的英语写作能力,并从中获得对高职英语写作教学丰富的启示。

本研究试图回答以下问题:1)高职非英语专业学生英语写作错误的类型有哪些?2)哪种类型的错误和学生作文的品质最为相关?3)五步综合纠错法对于减少学生英语写作中的错误是否比其他方法更为有效?为了找到以上问题的答案,本文对高职非英语专业学生英语写作的错误进行了定量研究。

被试者是山东省农业管理干部学院大二非英语专业经管系两个班的120名学生,要求他们在期末考试写一篇作文,并回答作者自行设计的一个问卷,以更进一步的了解高职非英语专业学生英语写作四种类型的错误与学生作文品质高低的相关性。

由于传统的教师纠错法对于提高学生的写作能力收效甚微,自我纠错法与同伴纠错法也都存在自身的缺陷,一种新的纠错方法—五步综合纠错法被引入到高职非英语专业学生的英语教学过程中。

作者在两个平行班进行了对比实验。

在实验班采用五步综合纠错法,而在控制班纠错则主要由教师来主导。

该实验持续了一个学期,要求被试者在期末考试再写一篇作文,从而检测两个班英语写作的平均成绩是否存在显著差异,以验证五步综合纠错法对于减少学生英语写作中的错误比其他方法更为有效的假设是否成立。

研究结果表明:高职非英语专业学生英语写作中的错误主要集中在以下四个层次:本体错误、词汇错误、语法错误和语篇错误,其中语篇层次的错误在这四种类型的错误中出现的最为频繁。

语际错误和语内错误是导致高职非英语专业学生写作错误的两个主要原因,其中语际错误相对显著。

语篇错误和学生作文品质的高低最为相关。

五步综合纠错法对于减少高职非英语专业学生英语写作中的错误比其他方法更为有效。

上述错误分析给高职非英语专业学生英语写作教学的启示主要有以下几个方面:第一,教师应保证足够的英语写作知识的输入。

第二,教师应采用多种训练形式内化所输入的知识。

第三,教师应加强英语写作的输出。

第四,教师应采取综合纠错法,有选择地纠正学生作文中的错误。

更多还原【Abstract】English writing competence has been listed as one of the goals in higher vocational college English teaching syllabi and has been given more and more consideration,while writing performance of higher vocational college students especially non-English majors'is far from satisfactory.One obstacle in their English writing is that errors they commit hinder their improvement of writing performance.Therefore,this thesis attempts to analyze errors of English writing in higher vocational college non-English majors and explore some effective countermeasures to deal with these errors so as to improve students'English writing performance,and then a series of implications for teaching higher vocational college non-English majors'English writing are obtained.The present study attempts to answer the following research questions:1)What types of errors occur in higher vocational college non-English majors'English writing?2)Which type of errors is most significantly Correlated with students'writing quality?3)Is the five-step comprehensive correction more efficient than any other error correction methodto reduce students'errors of English writing?In order to find the answers to the above research questions,a quantitative research is conducted in this thesis.One hundred and twenty subjects of two classes were selected among the second-year non-English majors in Economic Management Department of Shandong Agricultural Administrators College.All the subjects were asked to writea composition in the final examination.A self-designed questionnaire was conducted in this studyto gain a deeper understanding of the correlation between the four types of errors in higher vocational college non-English majors'English writing and students'writing quality.Due to the fact that less improvement in students'writing performance is obtained from the traditional way of teacher correction,and meanwhile,both self-correction and peer correction have their own limitations as well,a new method called five-step comprehensive correction is explored in higher vocational college non-English majors'English writing teaching.A contrastive experiment between two parallel classes was conducted to support the hypothesis that five-step comprehensive correction is more efficient than any other error correction method to reduce students'errors of English writing.In this experiment,two parallel classes were selected as the subjects.In experimental class,the five-step comprehensive error correction is focused,while in controlled class,the error correction is only dominated by the teacher.This experiment lasted one term.At the end of the term,another writing task was made between the two classes in the final examination to testify whether the difference of the mean scores between the two classes'is statistically significant or not.Findings of the present study show that errors in higher vocational college non-English majors'English writing mainly focus on the following four levels:substance errors,lexical errors,grammatical errors and discourse errors.Among the above four levels of errors,errors on the level of discourse occur most frequently.Interlingual and intralingual errors are two major sources of errors committed by higher vocational college non-English majors.And also interlingual errors are more prominent than intralingual errors for students.It is the number of discourse errors in their writings that most significantly distinguish the good writings from the poor ones.Five-step comprehensive correction is more effective than any other error correction method.Pedagogical implications for teaching higher vocational college non-English majors'English writing are as follows:Firstly,teachers should ensure enough knowledge input of English writing.Secondly,teachers should adopt various practice forms to internalize students'input knowledge.Thirdly,teachers should stimulate students'output of English writing.Finally,teachers should adopt comprehensive correction method and make selective error correction.更多还原【关键词】错误分析;英语写作;错误改正;五步综合纠错法;【Key words】error analysis;English writing;error correction;five-step comprehensive correction;【网络出版投稿人】山东大学。
