My Home Town I come from Nanning, a beautiful city in the south of China. It is the capital of Guangxi. It has a long history. It has a population of about 5 million. My home town is especially famous for green city. There are lots of things to do and to see in my home town , such as swimming, watching folk( 民歌) festival. It was a small city about 20 years ago，but now it is bigger and busier. Its streets are much wider and cleaner than before. Keeping Safe It’s important for each of us to protect ourselves and keep safe. In order to be safe at school, let us follow these rules. First, stay away from unhealthy food and drinks. It is bad for our health. Second, we should be careful when we go downstairs and don’t fall. Third, make sure that we do some warm-up before we start sports. Follow the traffic rules and be safe in busy streets. First, don’t ride or drive too fast. Second, stop and wait if the traffic light is red. Do not go across the road when the traffic light is red. Don’t ride side by side with your friends. Remember you mustn’t listen to music while you are riding. If you like nature and often spend a lot time in nature, make sure you remember the following rules. Don’t swim in the river by yourself. Don’t go hiking when the weather is bad. Always take your mobile phone with you so you can call someone for help if you hurt yourself.

That’s because there are more and more people in the world, so villages and farms are getting bigger and taking away the animals’ home. Also some people kill animals for meat or for money. For instance, people catch snakes because they can use the skin of snakes to make nice leather bags. What should we do to help protect animals? First, I think we should raise money at school. Second, the government should set up more nature parks for animals to live in. Third, people must stop killing animals in danger and plant more trees. .
My Favourite Sport Of all the sports, I like swimming best. I think nothing is more interesting than swimming. It makes me healthy and strong . And it brings me a lot of fun. In summer, I usually go to swim with my classmates after school. Every time I feel tired but relaxed. I began to swim when I was 6 years old. I enjoy swimming very much. I often watch swimming match on TV. And I hope to be a swimmer in the Olympic Games .

Winter holiday is coming. My parents and I are going to Beijing for holiday. There are three ways to travel to Beijing from Nanning, by plane, by train and by car. My father thinks the best way is by car because it’s the most comfortable. But it takes too long. My mother thinks travelling by plane is the fastest but also the most expensive way. I think travelling by train is the most interesting way because I can look out of the window at the countryside. So we decided to travel by train in the end.
