There is no doubt that ,today ,we are becoming richer than we were in the last decade. Ten years ago, I was a junior high school student who tried his best to enter university . I live in a remote and poor town, where many people have a hard life and the children are forced to drop out of school to earn money for family. Most of men looked for jobs in a developed city far from hometown and they went back home only once a year in order to save more money; 10 years ago in china many workers could not get their wages from the bosses and they always had endless tasks. People's legitimate rights and interests could not get effective maintenance. Ten years later, these situations have been improved to a large degree,I become one of graduate students with more thoughts. Our town is built to be a new socialist countryside and people can enjoy reasonable rest and more social welfare.
However, are we happier than a decade ago ? Seemingly not. Our material conditions have been greatly improved, but the mental pressure is greater. The competition ha s been becoming increasingly fierce and more people live in fear in the full day. With the rapidly growing life consumption, especially high house price and high tuition, more and more people use the whole time for hard work just to buy a house or send their children to a better school; instead of enjoying life, such as to keep accompany with their families ,to go for a travel or to see a new movie .
