The Ss read the new words alone and mark the difficult words.2. The Ss read the difficult words according to their phonetic symbols and deal with the pronunciation problems in groups of 4.3. Get No.3 of each group to read the new words to the class, the others listen. Any student can stand up to correct some pronunciation mistakes. If necessary, the teacher can offer help.4. Play the tape for the Ss to listen and correct their pronunciations.5. Get the students to read the words by reading like a poem.Eg: guitar, guitar, guitar, G-U-I-T-A-R,guitar!6.
