邀请信 (Invitation Letter)
Guidelines
• 邀请信是邀请某人参加某种仪式、会议等的应用 文，其写作要点如下： • (1) 开头首先表明写作意图，向某人发出邀 请，指明地点、日期、时间等要素。 • (2)表达你渴望见到对方。如果是商务性质的， 注明时间、会议地点、发信主题、组织者、出席 者等。留下联系人的姓名、地址和电话号码。 • (3) 表达你对被邀者能应邀的愉快心情，并 希望尽快得到回复。

My whole family is very eager awaiting your arrival. • 我们非常高兴地期待着你的到来。 • We would be looking forward to your coming with great pleasure. • 我非常期待见到你。 • I am looking forward to seeing you. • 如果你能来，我们全家都将感到不胜荣幸。 • My family and I would feel much honored if you would come. • 请接受我的邀请并尽早通知我。 • Please accept my invitation and let me know at your convenience as soon as possible.

Practice
• Write a letter to your former roommate in your university and invite him/her to visit your city during the summer vacation. You should write about 100 words. You don’t need to write your own address.
