Look at this picture, can you guess how old is he?The old man was born in 1905 and is now 113 years old. You may think this is just an exception. But there is one place in the world where 403 centenarians like him live, one of the six longevity villages in the world.
The place is Rugao in Jiangsu Province,China's famous hometown of longevity. In Rugao, there are 403 elderly people over 100 years old, 24 people over 105 years old, and 4 people over 110 years old and the oldest is 113 years old this year.Have an interesting phenomenon, Among centenarians, the number of women is more than three times that of men.
Many other studies also confirm that women can live longer than men.
Rugao as a village with the largest number of centenarians in China. Studying the reasons for the longevity of it has universal significance. Some experts also discovered that genes account for just 25 percent of their longevity. The other 75 percent is lifestyle. And their favorite drink is boiled water, and it is best to have a drink in the morning. Centenarians always eat enough vegetables which contain rich vitamin, and proper meat is needed, too.
Except the diet, there are many other factors of longevity, I will suggest four, but there are many more. First of all, life lies in movement, appropriate exercise such as running or swimming can improve immunity and help us build a strong body. Secondly, a healthy lifestyle is important,
keeping enough sleep, quitting smoking, less drinking,eating more vegetables and fruits, for example. Thirdly, keeping healthy and peaceful mood is good for mentally health. We should release our stress, so that we can have a good attitude towards life. Last but not least, many studies show that people with a wide range of social contacts get sick less and live longer than those who don't. It is worth noting that this isn’t about social networking, but about face-to-face socializing.
