The GM8037 high resolution fiber grating sensor interrogating system is a PC-based, compact sized, high accurate, big dynamic range FBG sensors interrogating system. With a built-in tunable laser source and dual-channel photo detectors, the system can perform a high accuracy FBG sensor interrogation and optical spectrum analysis. It can be used for a wide variety of fiber optic sensors. The system provides users with a dynamic diagram of the FBG sensor spectrum shape which updates according to physical conditions. spectral shape of the fiber Bragg grating sensors react to varying physical conditions- rather than only reporting shifts in central wavelengths. The FBG sensor interrogation system can be used for long-term field measurements while the optical spectrum analysis system is useful to the development of a high volume custom sensing system. Two sensor channels allow simultaneous interrogation of multiple sensors on two fibers or channels. Both channels can be used to interrogate gratings in transmission or reflection and the system can be modified to support many types of sensors. All data can be transferred to an external PC via RS232 or USB communication ports.
