"I'd Like to Buy the World a Coke" had its origins on January 18, 1971, in a London fog.
Throughout the years, the slogans used in advertising for Coca-Cola have reflected not only the brand, but the times. Slogans provide a simple, direct way to communicate about Coca-Cola.
Some slogans have focused on the quality of Coca-Cola („It‟s the Real Thing‟), while others celebrate the drink‟s refreshing taste („The Pause that Refreshes‟). Others reference Coke‟s role in social occasions such as meal times („Things go Better with Coke‟).
In 1985, the introduction of a new taste of Coca-Cola (commonly called new Coke® ) and the reintroduction of Coca-Cola classic and the original formula led to multiple slogans. 1985 featured "America's Real Choice," while by 1986, two slogans were used to differentiate the brands, with "Red, White & You" for Coca-Cola classic and "Catch the Wave" for Coca-Cola.
Some slogans for Coca-Cola have concentrated on the quality of the product, its refreshing taste, or even its role in entertaining, as in 1948's "Where There's Coke There's Hospitality(n.殷勤好客; 招 待,款待; (气候,环境等的) 宜人,适 宜.)"

Keeping The Classic Look and Taste Worldwide
• When Coca-Cola was first introduced into the Chinese market, Chinese characters (n. 精选的; 挑选出来的; 苛择的 )sounded like Coca-Cola but actually meant, “bite the wax tadpole.”(蝌蚪啃蜡 ) • In Russian, “enjoy” was changed to “drink,” because “enjoy” has a particular sensual (adj.感觉的; 肉体上的 ; 世俗的)connotation, in that language, that doesn’t apply to soft drinks.
In January 2003, the slogan for Coca-Cola was introduced -- "Coca-Cola... Real." The campaign (and slogan in turn) reflects genuine, authentic moments in life and the natural role CocaCola plays in them.
The 1906 slogan, “The Great National Temperance Beverage,” reflects a time when the society in the United States was veering awges, and Coca-Cola provided a nice alternative(adj.

Other slogans have concerned our sales figures, such as "Three Million a Day" from 1917 or "Six Million a Day" from 1925. In terms of drinks a day, that's a vast(adj. 浩瀚; 广大无边的空间) difference from the one billion a day mark The CocaCola Company passed in 1997.
