[C / U] 想像，想像力，想像的事物②imaginative adj.富有想像力的▲搭配：imagine sth / doing sth e.g. You can imagine the situation there.I can’t imagine (my) marrying a girl of that sort.【考例】I can hardly imagine Peter ___across the Atlantic Ocean in five days.A. sailB. to sailC. sailingD. to have sailed3. Ever since middle school, my sister Wang Wei and I have dreamed about taking a great bike trip.(1).ever since从那以后It is/has been+一段时间+since+一般过去时(从句中的动作不能延续)自从……至今已经多久了。
eg: It’s five years since I left there.注意：在It’s +一段时间+since从句，如果since 从句的谓语动词是延续性动词，那么，它所表示的时间是从那个动作结束时起算，意为―不做…多久了。
eg: It’s five years since he smoked. 他戒烟五年了。
(2) dream about/of 梦见，梦想4.Then she persuaded me to buy one.(1) 说服；劝服sb.persuade sb. (not) to do sthsb. into/out of doing sth.(2) 使相信；使信服persuade sb. of sth. 使某人信服…persuade sb. that 使某人相信eg: He has persuaded me of its truth.5.After graduating from college, we finally got the chance take a bike trip.【辨析】finally, at last与in the end 易混词辨析finally 一般指一系列事物或论点顺序的最后项内容,或用在动词前,表示等了好久才…,没有感情色。
E.g.He stood up, waved his hand and finally began hisinspiring.at last 在意思上是指经过周折、等待、耽搁到最后、终于(出现所期待的结果),常常带有较浓厚的感情色彩。
E.g. He finished his long boring speech atlast.in the end 指等了好久才···，而且能用于预卜未来E.g. Who can tell what will happen to the earth in the end?6. Although she didn’t know the best way of getting to places, she insisted that she organize the trip properly.(1). although, though引导让步状语从句不能再和but, and, however连用, 但可以和副词yet, still连用。
although从句多放在句首, though从句可在主句前，中，后任何位置。

When I told her the air would be hard to breath and it would be very cold.主语+ be + adj.+ to do sth. 不定式用主动形式表达被动含义。
这一结构中的形容词往往是表示心理活动的，接不定式时, 不定式的逻辑主语是句子的主语, 主动用to do, 被动用to be done; 也可以接从句。
这类形容词有surprised, moved,disappointed, pleased, happy, sad, delighted, sorry, interested, glad, worried, etc.此句型可以转换成It + be + adj + to do sth.结构。
eg：The problem is really hard to work out. = It is really hard to work out the problem.10. Finally, I had to give in.(1).give in (to sb./sth.) 屈服于, 让步, 递交eg：He had to give in to my views.(2).give in (sth. to sb.) 上交eg：Please give your examination papers in to the teacher.【拓展】give up 放弃, 认输give out 筋疲力尽；分配give away 捐赠, 泄露11. It becomes rapids as it passes through deep valleys, traveling across western Yunnan Province.【辨析】across，through与overacross表示从一定范围的一边到另一边或事物交叉位置,―横穿, 横跨表面, 含义与on 有关through 表达两边穿过或穿过空间内部, 含义与in 有关over表示越过,是指越过较高的物体从一侧到另一侧eg: The new railway winds its way to Hong Kong, over mountains across tunnels and through rivers.12. To climb the mountains was hard work but as we looked around us, we weresurprised by the view.(1).景色，风景eg：The room has a fine view of the mountains.(2).视野，视线eg：The plane soon went out of view.(3).看法，见解，态度（多用于复数）in one’s view 在某人看来one’s view(s) on/about sth 某人关于某事的看法、见解【辨析】view ,scene, sight 与scenery 易混词辨析view 指从某个位置或角度看到的景色，也可表示观点。
