词性从句名词性从句可分为：主语从句、宾语从句、同位语从句及表语从句。
一、用that引导，that不做成分，在主语从句、表语从句、同位语从句中，that 通常不省去，that 引导两个以上的名词性从句，之后的that 不省去。
The main ideas were that all people are brothers and sisters, and that all people should be treated equally.（表语）That we are invited to a concert this evening is a piece of good news to us.(主语)He demanded (that) everyone be equal.(宾语)Word came that Napolean would come to inspect.(同位语)注意判断：The news that we won the game inspired us.The news that we received was not true.（定语从句）二、Whether与if 引导：“是否”。
主语从句（尤其在句首）、表语从句、同位语从句、介词之后与or, or not连用时用whether.Whether we shall go is unknown.(主语从句)→It is unknown whether/if we shall go.It depends on whether he will come (or not).(宾语从句)The problem is whether we can get enough hands.(表语从句)The question whether we need it has not yet been considered.(同位语从句)三、Wh-从句作名词性从句：代词wh-, 同时在名词性从句中作主、宾、表语；可用it 作形式主语；副词wh-, --ever无论，同时在名词性从句中作状语。
Who should be responsible for it is a mystery.→It is a mystery who should be responsible for it.(主语)I don’t know what is happening over there.（宾语）The boss couldn’t decide which of them should be fired.(宾语)The book is where you left it.(表语)The problem how we can get there on time is left unsettled.(同位语)The reason why he was late is unknown. (同位语)That was because he fell ill.(表语)--ever。
如：whatever, whoever, however, whomever等也可引导名词性从句，也可引导让步状语从句，引导让步状语时，等于No matter…It’s not wise to give a child whatever he wants.(anything that)Whoever gets the most votes will win in the election.（Anyone who）Here are three books.
