《My name is Gina》说课稿My name’s Feng Shuojin.I come Good morning , ladies and gentlemen. It’s my pleasure to be here.the topic “My name is Gina.”I will divide thefrom Xindi School. Today , I’m going to talk aboutinstruction into seven parts: they are Teaching material Analysis,Teaching aims, Teaching emphasis andTeaching difficulties, Teaching methods, Teaching procedures,Blackboard design and Teaching Reflection.First,Teaching material AnalysisI’d like to say something about the teaching content .The teaching plan I am going to present is fromeasy to learn. In this unit,we will learn how to the first lesson in middle school, it’sUnit 1. For it’sintroduce ourselves, learn how to make friends,and learn how to greet people. This is an important anduseful lesson in Book One,because it’s related to our daily life closely.If the students can learn it well,it will be helpful to improve their learning ability and arouse the interest in learning English..Second, Teaching aims1. Knowledge of language: Learn the new words;Learn the sentences“What’s your name? MyLearn how to greet people.name is…Nice to meet you” 2. Practical skills: To understand the passages in book and learn to immigrate knowledge from“What’s your name?” to “What’s his/her name?”3. Personal development :To inspire students to learn English, and develop the ability to makefriends.Third, Teaching emphasis and Teaching difficulties :1.Learn the new words and new sentences:What’s your name? My name is…. Nice to meet you.what’s=what is I’m=I am name’s=name is2.Learn how to make a new dialog use the sentences we had learnt in this unit.Next, Teaching methods and Learning methods1.As we know, teaching English at middle schools aims at students’ basic skills in listening and speaking and their interest in English. So I find it’s necessary to design a task-based class .So in thislesson,I’ll use“Task-based” teach ing method : Students will be assigned to make conversations in limitedtime. This task will make it possible for the students to pick up the language in an authentic way.2.Game teaching method:I’ll let the students to take part in the game,it can help tostrengthen theirability to make friends and improve their learning interest.3Cooperative inquiry method : Encourage students to communicate in English as much aspossible.Encourage students to work hard to be NO.1 in the English class.Teaching procedures:Step 1 Warm-upAnd I shall have the students Start class with a song.It can help to draw student’s attention in class.join in the singingStep2 PresentationShow the new words and new sentences, explain the meaning.1.Surpose I want to know someone orI want to make friend with him/her,how can I ask his/her name?Let the students think about it.And thenI’ll lead in the sentences--“What’s your name?”and “My name is…”2.Learn the new words according to phonetics.I think it’s helpful for students to master the pronunciation of the new words.And then I’ll ask the students to make sentences use the new words.3.Show the pictures and review the words we had learnt in Starter Units 1—3.By showing the pictures of the words,I think they can memorize the words easily and directly.4.Finish 1a.Step3 PracticeMake the whole class into 8 groups, each member ask another one a question, use the sentences we had learnt in this unit. The others write down what they said.The practice between teacher and students, strengthen their comprehension and the use of new lesson.It can also improve their ability of cooperation.Step 4 Consolidation1.Listen to the tape and then finish 1b.Before listening,I’ll let the students read the listeningmaterial .2.Listen again and retell the conversations.Firstly,retell the sentences one by one.Secondly,retell the whole conversations one by one.In order to train their listening,retelling is necessary.3.Role-play the conversation and finish 1c.
