Certain gestures that are innocent in China mean something completely different (and offensive) overseas. So , we must use hand singals carefully when you are traveling abroad. Next I will introduce five gestures and its means in different countries.

Bent your index finger means number nine in China, but in Burma, it represents number five. In Japan, it means thief, because the motion is like thief stealing action. In Singapore 、 Thailand and Malaysia,it means death.

If you have your index and middle fingers pointed up in the V shape, your palm is facing outward,it means victory in most countries and space in American. But if your palm face inward in South Europe, it means cuckold. So avoid using in: UK、Australia、Ireland and Zealand。
