Passive Component (無源器件) – Cannot amplify an electrical signal( 不能放大或轉變信號), such as resistor (電阻). Active Component (有源器件) – Can amplify or interpret a signal. Polarity (极性)= Positive(正极) ( Anode) & Negative(負极) (Cathode)

Use(用途): Energy storage and discharges electricity Class letter (代號): C or “+” (By the lead) Value Code(單位): (µF) (微法) Microfarads, (nF)(納法) Nanofarads, (pF)(皮 法) Picrofarads – Printed on the capacitor body or color band. Tolerance(誤差): Printed on capacitor as percentage (e.g. +/-5%) or as letter scheme (e.g. K = +/-10%) Orientation(方向性): Square pad on PCB for positive lead (+) Polarity(極性): Plus (+): marks positive lead Dot ( ): marks positive lead Band: marks positive lead Arrows: arrows down the side lead to the negative end
