At the suggestion of their friend, the novelist and philosopher William Godwin, Lamb and his sister Mary, who was several years older, collaborated to write Tales from Shakespeare, with the design of making the plays familiar to young readers.2. Shakespeare is the most quoted writer in the literature and history of the English-speaking worldLifeShakespeare was born and raised in Stratford-upon-Avon.
