1.3 Lamp definitionsGroup 1 Compact Fluorescent Lamps - Electronic Self- Ballasted Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFLs) utilising B22d, B15d, E27 or E14 caps, or any other suitable cap types which are specified in EN 60061-1, or which are in the final stages of European standardisation for inclusion in EN 60061-1. Class T– Two part CFLs, comprising a light source (lamp) complying with Group 2 (see below) which is operated by separate electronic control gear contained in an ‘adaptor’ utilising bayonet or Edison screw caps (complying with EN 60061-1, EN 60598, EN 60929, EN 61347-2-3), both lamp and adaptor being supplied as a single entity at the point of sale. Replacement lamps must be readily available for purchase as separate items.
