When和while 都可以表示“当…的时候”，when所引导的时间从句的动作是瞬间完成的，应该使用一般时态，主句可使用进行时态；而while所引导的时间从句的动作是延续性动词，从句可以使用进行时态。

如：When I walked into the classroom, she was doing her homework.=While she was doing her homework, I walked into the classroom.When the storm came, I was waiting for a bus.=______ I _____ _______ for a bus, the storm ________.b. while还可以表示“一边…一边”“与…同时”，两个句子都可以使用进行时态。

asleep是形容词，意思是“睡着的”，强调状态，常作表语。

短语fall asleep意为“入睡；睡着”。

sleep可作动词，意为“睡觉”，也可作名词，意为“睡眠；睡觉”。
