Westminster Abbey is a well-known Protestant church in Britain with a history that could claim to be an epitome of the history of London, or even the Great Britain. Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland and the second largest city after Glasgow . It is one of Scotland‘s 32 local government council areas. Located in the south-east of Scotland, Edinburgh lies on the east coast of the Central Belt, along the Firth of Forth, near the North Sea. Owing to its rugged setting and vast collection of Medieval and Georgian architecture, including numerous stone tenements, it is often considered one of the most picturesque cities in Europe.

There is the magnificent gilded Clock Tower at the northern end of the Houses of Parliament,which is universally known as Big Ben.This 316 feet clock-tower was completed between 1858-1859. The light above the clock is lit while the Commons is sitting.
At 365 feet (111m) high, it was the tallest building in London from 1710 to 1962, and its dome is also among the highest in the world.Nowadays, St Paul's Cathedral is still a busy working church, with hourly prayer and daily services.
