shop意为“购物”，是不及物动词，后不可直接跟宾语，其ing形式要双写字母p，即shopping。
常用结构有：go shopping(去购物), do some shop ping(购物)。
shop还可用作名词，意为“商店”，同义词是store。
如：
I like to shop at the supermarket, bec ause I can buy many different things there.
我喜欢在超市购物，因为我可以在那里买到很多东西。
2．Is the man swimming in a river？那个男人正在河里游泳吗？(课本第34页) man是可数名词，意为“男人；人”，其复数形式是men。
如：

如：

man还可以表示“人类”，是一个不可数名词。
