青岛简介青岛位于太平洋西岸、中国山东半岛南部（东经119°30’～121°00’、北纬35°35’～37°09’），东、南濒临黄海，西、北连接内陆。
陆地面积11282平方公里，海域面积12240平方公里，常住人口929万人。
现辖市南、市北、李沧、崂山、黄岛、城阳、即墨7个区和胶州、平度、莱西3个县级市。
Qingdao (formerly spelled Tsingtao) is a city on the west shore of the Pacific Ocean. Lying on the southern coast of China’s Shandong Peninsula, the city faces the Yellow Sea to the south and east, and borders inland areas of Shandong Province to the north and west.Qingdao covers a land area of 11,282 square kilometers and a sea area of 12,240 square kilometers, stretching in latitude from 35°35’ to 37° 09’ N and in longitude from 119°30’ to 121°00’ E.The city has a resident population of 9.29 million and has jurisdiction over seven districts, i.e. Shinan, Shibei, Licang, Laoshan, Huangdao, Chengyang and Jimo, and three county-level cities of Jiaozhou, Pingdu and Laixi.青岛是中国历史文化名城、中国道教的发祥地之一。

Qingdao is steeped in rich historical and cultural heritage and is widely recognized as a cradle of Taoism. The earliest human settlement in Qingdao can be traced back to as early as 5,000 to 6,000 years ago, leaving behind a legacy of Neolithic cultural relics.Two of its precincts are included on China’s official list of “Renowned Streets of Cultural and Historical Significance”. Qingdao has 144 historical sites or monuments recognized and protected by the cultural heritage administration authority at the national, provincial or municipal level. It has been selected as one of the “Culture Citi es of East Asia”.Qingdao has long been reputed as a favored location for the filming of movies and television series and a “city of music”. In 2017, the city was designated by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to join its Creative Cities Network (UCCN) as a“City of Film”. It is the first Chinese city to have been so named.Qingdao has hosted the China International Children’s Film Festival, China International Violin Competition, and Golden Phoenix Award Ceremony of the China Film Performance Art Academy.
