( male, born in 1964, senior engineer, Beijing Jin dongfang Science and T echnology Development Co. , Lt d. , Beijing 100035, China) Abstract : Aft er carbonization and heat t reat ment for the carbonized bearing steel G20CrNi2Mo applied for the rolling bearings on railw ay cars, the processing of low tem perature ion sulphurizat ion is made. T he w ear and comparison t est on samples shows t hat, on account of t he self lubrication of sulphur, t he f riction factor of the sulphurized sample surf ace has been reduced by 27% ~ 37% com paring w it h the unsulphurized sample; t he w earing has been reduced by 85% ; t he anti burning and adhering load has been im proved by 20% ~ 90% w ith different speeds; U nder t he same loading condit ions, the t emperat ure rise due t o the f rict ion under t he same loading condit ions is about 12 low er.
