3.(表示惊叹或加强语气)这样的,这等的It was such an exciting game.那场比赛真是精彩刺激。
4.上述的pron. 这样的人(或事物);上述的人(或事物)[M]Such were her words.她就是这么说的such与so的区别与用法such与so的意思都是“如此，这样”。
但两者用法根本不同，与what和how引导的感叹句相类似。
1、such后面主要是修饰名词。
即：such＋a/an＋adj.＋n.或a/an＋such＋adj.＋n.。
如果名词是不可数名词或复数名词，则不可以用不定冠词a或an。
如：①He has such a beautiful bike. We all go to see it.②It's a such fine day. We al want to go to fly a kite.2、so后面只能跟形容词或副词。
即：和so＋adj.或adv.不过，so后面也可以跟名词，但该名词必须是单数可数名词。
用法为：so+形容词+a或an+单数可数名词。
如：①The tiger is so big. And the cat is so small.②She is so lovely a girl.3、它们后面还可以与that从句连用。
即：such…that和so…that意思是“如此……以致……”。
如：①She is such a clever girl that she can make much progress in math exam.②His brother is so young that he can't go to school.注：当名词前的形容词为表示数目的词时，such必须换成so。
如：①There are so many people that we can't go past.②I ate so much food that I didn't want to go any farther.注意这一句话：He is such a little boy that he can't read or write.(这一句话中的a little不是“一点”的意思，而是“一个小的”的意思，所以，前面仍然用such，而不用so。
such跟so的区别1、so + 形容词/副词+ that + 从句，如：This story is so interesting that I want to read it again. （这个故事如此有趣以至我想再读一次。
）He spoke so quickly that I couldn't follow him.（他说得如此快以至我不能跟上他。

）4、such+复数可数名词/不可数名词+that+从句，如：He showed such concern that people took him to be a relative.（他表现得如此关心以致于人们都把他当作亲戚了1) so用来修饰形容词或副词,而such用来修饰名词;2) such和so后跟有形容词。
不定冠词和名词时,它们的词序不同:"such a/an +adj. +单数可数名词+ that…"可以转换成"so + adj. + a/an +单数可数名词+that…"。
3)表示"这么多(少)的……"名词前有many, much, few, little时,应用so而不用such。
many修饰复数可数名词，表许多；much修饰不可数名词，表量或程度。
He has many friends, but few true ones.There hasn't been much good weather recently.（2）many a:many a和many同义，但语气比较强，并且要与单数名词及单数形动词连用。
Many a prisoner has been set free. (=Many prisoners have been set free.)〔3〕as many和so many均等于the same number of。
前有as, like时, 只用so many。
These are not all the books I have. These are as many more upstairs.They worked like so many ants.（4）as much等于the same amount of, 表同量和同一事情。
He bought two pounds of sugar and as much tea. 〔同量）I was not in the least surprised, for I had fully expected as much. 〔同一事情）（5）many和much之后不接名词时，作为代名词；另外much也可用副词。
Many of them were very tired.I don't eat much for lunch. 〔代名词）He is much taller than I. （副词）too much常用作副词或代词，也可以用作形容词修饰不可数名词。
much too常作副词，后接副词或形容词。
too many常用作形容词，修饰可数名词复数。
much too 太中心词是too 例如太晚much too latemany too 没这种用法too many 太多中心词是many 后加可数名词复数too many books 太多的书too much 太多中心词是much 后加不可数名词too much water 太多的水Many和Much用法①many和much都作“许多”解，但many用于修饰可数名词，而much修饰不可数名词。

⑤many和much的一些常用词组：many a time 许多次how many books 多少书how much water 多少水as much (many) 同样多as much (many) as 像……那么多倍数+as much (many) as………的……倍（那么多）much less 何况（用于否定）much more 何况（用于肯定）注1：much和many的比较级和最高级都是more和most，“more（或most）+形容词或副词原级”还分别构成比较级和最高级。
如：more useful较为有用的；most widely 最广泛地。
注2：“many a+可数名词单词”用法特殊，举例如下：1. Many a worker often shows concern for us. （注意谓语用第三人称单数形式）许多工人经常关心我们。
2. Many a time have they been to Beijing.（注意Many a time作状语位于句首时，后面要引起主语、谓语颠倒现象，因为many a time和often近义，often位于句首时也引起主语、谓语颠倒。
