Love
When it comes to love, most people consider it a concept which is too abstract to define, so they don’ t have a complete definition. What is love? How do we define love? Psychologically speaking, love is a kind of affection that people paid when they like one thing and the degree reached a very deep level. In my opinion, I would like to divide love into four parts, affection between families, affection between lovers, affection between friends and affection between other things.
Firstly, love is the affection which is expressed by families because of the inseparable blood relationship. Families always silently give away for us, their love is so selfless. We freely enjoy their love and consume their love. Just like my parents, they gave me life and brought me up. They pay for my education and teach me when I am in trouble. Their love is selfless for me.
Secondly, love is the affection embodied by lovers because of the love for each other. Lovers play important roles in our life. They may appear when we need them most. Their love is selfless. Such affection must be the most real, no concealment, no deception. Thinking of my last boyfriend, he was always cheating on me; he did not care how I felt most of the time, even though I understood him so well. In that relationship, he is selfish. I thought that will not be true affection, so we ended. Compared with him, my current boyfriend is more considerate. He took good care of me when I was ill. He knows my favorite things. He cares my feelings. Their affection is completely different. One is quite selfish, however, the other is quite selfless.
Thirdly, love is the affection between close friends because of the precious friendship we have spent so much time developing. When we tell the truth, our friends will listen carefully and give us support and encouragement in time. Their love is also selfless. People all around the world have close friends and such affection. At the same time, we also give away our love and affection to our
friends. We try our best to keep balance between ourselves and our friends.
Ultimately, love can be a kind of affection to other things, animals or other inanimate objects. For example, the pet I like best is cat. Therefore, I am willing to keep a cute cat as my pet. I treat it as my friend because I like it so much. When I was eight years old, I had my first cat, I fed her carefully, told her what I was thinking. She was a very nice cat and never made any noise. I think it is her reward for me. Our relationship deepened, one day, she died in a car accident suddenly. I cried in pain, looking at her dead body helplessly. Later I understood, that was also the sincerest love.
For all that I said above, so what, exactly, is love? It’ s time to define it. Love is a kind of feeling from inner affection, which must be true, mutual, selfless.。
