此外，植物还具有创造财富的生产功能，在园林中只要运用经营得当，对园林建设亦可起到促进作用。
由于植物是活的生命体，随着一年四季的变化，即使同一地点也会表现出不同的景色，形成各异的情趣。
植物本身就是大自然的艺术品，它的枝、叶、花、果、根、芽、形姿，均具有无比的魅力。
随着我国园林行业的发展和人们物质文化水平的提高，人们对生活环境质量的要求日益提高，作为构成园林核心要素之一的植物造景也越来越受到人们的重视。
其中植物的季相变化是造景的重要方面，尤其是秋季最为显著。
在园林植物里，主要是利用秋色叶植物和彩色叶植物来营造秋季景观。
除此之外，秋果和秋花的植物也可以用来营造秋季景观。
秋色叶树种是指进入秋季或经霜后叶色由绿色转成其他颜色，并能使整个树冠显得鲜艳而优美的树种，其大多属于落叶树。
理想的秋色叶树种，应具有满树黄色、红色或其他过渡性颜色的叶片，色泽鲜艳，树冠透亮，树姿优美。

植物是园林景观元素中最有活力的,借助秋色叶植物与常色叶植物来提高植物群落的观赏性, 营造高质量的园林景观成为时代需求。
秋色叶植物与常色叶植物具有色彩鲜艳、易于形成大色块景观等特点,可以弥补园林景观中秋季和冬季色彩单调的缺憾,利用植物不同季节自身色彩的多样性去营造一个富于变化的园林季相景观。

中国色彩研究起步较晚,在我的印象中，现代园林建设中色彩植物运用的不是很多，而且在配置方面存在着一些不足，秋色叶植物和常色叶植物的配置设计不是很理想。
此次想通过这篇论文的撰写，学习更多植物造景方面的专业知识，也对秋色叶植物与常色叶植物在植物景观中的作用有了更多的了解，这对于日后的学习和工作有着很大的帮助。
1.3研究的方法1.3.1资料数据收集整理翻阅园林植物方面的专业书籍，如《园林植物学》、《树木学》、《植物景观设计》等；了解植物基本信息，学习秋季景观的植物设计，探索研究方向。
通过在长沙公园、街道、居住区等地方的植物景观的调查，整理出长沙秋色叶植物与常色叶植物的应用情况。
1.3.2网上查阅资料网络是信息传输、接收、共享的虚拟平台，现在的网络很强大，我们可以从网上搜索到任何我们想要的东西，学习园林方面的专业知识也离不开网络，许多图片与资料都可以从网上找到，增加我们的知识面。
此次为了这篇文章，也在网上查阅了不少资料，包括部分图片和数据。
1.3.3现场调查分析一个结果的确定离不开现实生活的调查，只有经过现场调查才能有更好、更确切的感受，也能得出可靠的结论。
此次除了在网上查阅一些资料和图片外，自己还在长沙南郊公园、烈士公园、橘子洲、中南林业科技大学校园等地方进行了调查，以及拍摄了一些现场照片，作为此论文的基本资料。
