然而随着科学技术和经济的飞速发展、人们的物质精神文化的不断提升，伴随着音乐表现风格的变化、旋律材料来源的多样化、音乐制作形式的不同，音乐风格也随之转变，现代流行音乐也受到了大家的欢迎与追捧，许多新视听开始出现。
国际大环境时下流行的“跨界演唱”融合了古典音乐与现代流行音乐的演唱技巧和演唱风格，音乐剧这一20 世纪新兴的舞台综合艺术也吸收了古典美声演唱与现代通俗唱法的精华创作出了许多新式音乐视听作品，美声唱法与现代摇滚音乐的结合也成为一股新的流行之风在欧美地区展开博大的势力冲击，“跨界演唱”成为一种潮流和趋势，正展示它旺盛的生命力。
我国声乐演唱方法也呈现了多元化发展的盛世场景，像美声唱法与通俗唱法结合的演唱、音乐剧形式的演唱方式在我国都有不同程度的发展，此外，我国还有本民族特色的声乐演唱形式的结合。
