复活节（Easter），是纪念耶稣基督复活的 节日，西方信基督教的国家都过这个节。在 西方教会传统里，春分之后第一次满月之后 的第一个星期日即为复活节。东方教会则规 定，如果满月恰逢星期日，则复活节再推迟 一周。因此，节期大致在3月22日至4月25日 之间。复活节是最古老最有意义的基督教节 日之一，庆祝的是基督的复活，世界各地的 基督徒每年都要举行庆祝。复活节还象征重 生和希望。

万圣节（HALLOWEEN）为每年的10月31日。 是11月1日诸圣节的前夕，通常叫做万圣节， 这一夜是一年中最“闹鬼”的一夜，所以也叫 “鬼节”。源自古代凯尔特民族(Celtic)的新 年节庆，此时也是祭祀亡魂的时刻，在避免恶 灵干扰的同时，也以食物祭拜祖灵及善灵以祈 平安渡过严冬，是西方传统节日。万圣节期间， 许多公共场所乃至居家院落，都会布置上很多 装璜，诸如各式鬼怪、南瓜灯、还有黑猫以及 巫婆的扫帚之类；孩子们会穿上每年不一样的 万圣节服装，拎着南瓜灯的提篓去挨家挨户地 讨糖，说是“trick or treat”。
