Trick or treat不给糖就捣乱
万圣节前夕，孩子们会提着南瓜灯，穿着各式各样 的稀奇古怪的服装，挨家挨户地去索要糖果，不 停地说：“trick or treat."（意思是给不给， 不给就捣蛋）如果大人不用糖果、零钱款待他们， 那些调皮的孩子就说到做到：好，你不款待，我 就捉弄你。他们有时把人家的门把手涂上肥皂， 有时把别人的猫涂上颜色。这些小恶作剧常令大 人啼笑皆非。当然，大多数人家都非常乐于款待 这些天真烂漫的小客人。所以万圣节前夜的孩子 们总是肚子塞得饱饱的，口袋装得满满的。

圣诞老人的由来 Santa’s origin
• 从前有一个老人，名叫尼古拉 斯，他一生最爱帮助贫困的人 家。其中有一次他帮助三个贫 穷的少女，送给他们三袋金子 以逃过被卖的命运。当尼古拉 斯偷偷把其中一袋金子送给其 中一名女子时，他把金子从其 中一个窗户扔了进去，恰好掉 进壁上的长袜子里。于是，人 们为了纪念他，平安夜那天会 在床前挂圣诞袜。
• 圣诞老人的飞天驯鹿队 • 芬兰是圣诞老人的故乡，同时也 是驯鹿的发源地，在这里诞生了 圣诞老人在圣诞前夜乘着由驯鹿 拉的飞天雪橇派礼物给孩子们的 美好传说。圣诞老人从烟囱爬进 屋里，留下给孩子们的圣诞礼物。 圣诞老人的驯鹿共有9只，领头 的驯鹿叫鲁道夫，长着一个会发 光的红鼻子，另外8只分别叫： 猛冲者、跳舞者、欢腾、雷、闪 电、彗星、凶婆娘、丘比特。驯 鹿和圣诞老人一起被赋予许多美 丽的神话传说，在西方被视为圣 洁欢乐和祥和的象征。
