The Tour of Qinghai Lake is an annual professional road bicycle racing stage race held in Qinghai Province, China since 2002.

Introduction
The current Chinese name is "Qinghai lake"
The Tibetan name translate to "Green Lake", "Blue Lake" and "Teal Sea“.

Shaped like an ellipse, Qinghai Lake lies northwest of the imposing Qinghai Altiplano, 150 km away from Xining city.
Qinghai Lake has a surface area of 4,317 square km;
The lake has fluctuated in size, shrinking over much of the 20th century, but has increased since 2004.
The water in the lake shows a palette of colors during different seasons and when viewed from different angles. The shades range from light green, blue, green, and grey, to orange and yellow.
