Welcome to JjiuhuaShan which is one of the most popular attractions in China.After the long flight you must be very tired,so now we are heading to our hotel directly so that you can get settled and have a good rest. It takes us about 40 minutes to get to the hotel, so let me introuduce my team first.Our driver is Mr.Wang. If we do that I’m sure we will have a very good time together!Mount Jiuhua is located in the Qingyang County of the Anhui Province and covers more than 100 square kilometres in area. It was originally known as Jiuzi(Nine-Peak) Mountain. Li Bai, the celebrated poet in the Tang Dynasty once wrote a poem in praise of the mountain, Gazing at the graceful mountain between sky and clouds, Libai wrotedown the beautiful lines, “sailing on the Yangtse river, watching Mt.Jiuhua from afar.Green water falls from the sky, Nine lotuses appear in the air” , from then on the mountain was renamed as Mount Jiuhua.Mount Jiuhua is full of waterfalls, streams, exotic-looking boulders, ancient caves, old pines and exuberant bamboo. With the richly variegated landscape, the ancient temples are tucked away amid the dense woods and the air reverberates with the tolling of the bells at dawn and dusk. Mount Jiuhua is usually known as the Number One Mountain of the Southeast.Ok, Seeing is Biliving. I’m sure you will learn a lo t about Chinese culture and Buddhism after the visit, and you will also be impressed deeply by the wonderful scenery. Let’s get off the bus and bring your camera.Look! So many monks . Yeah, that’s it ! Mt.Jiuhua is a Buddhist mountain. Especially on July 30th of Chinese lunar is the birthday of Earch Buddha. And a great Buddhist ceremony is held on this day. Though today is not the festival, we can also enjoy the beautiful scenery. OK! Here we are ,this is Huancheng Temple of Jiuhua Street.It was the first and oldest of all the temples of Mt.Jiuhua.which is over 1500 years ,monk Beidu built a simple temple here. Then after 300 years it was reconstructed and named Hucheng Temple.You see it lies a round plaza. Compared with Huangshan Mountain, Jiuhua Mountain is a holymountain with less spectacular scenery , but it got a quieter and more spiritual atmosphere. It is one of China’s four sacred Buddhist mountains.(the others are Putuoshan in Zhejiang; Emeishan in Sichuan And Wutaishan in Shanxi).In its history, during the Tang dynasty, as many as 3000 monks and nuns, living in more than 150 monasteries, worshipped at jiuhuashan. Today only 78 temples and monasteries remain.As a Buddhist sanctuary and a national scenic resort, Jiuhua shan is a Mecca for both tourists and pilgrims from around the world. Jiuhuashan owes its importance to Jin Qiaojue, a Korean Buddhist disciple who arrived in China in Tang dynasty(about AD720) And founded a worshipping place for Ksitigarbha, Dizang Buddha ( the guardian of the earth). Thanks to the reward and support of ming and Qing dynasty. Mount. Jiuhua has began to attract greater number of pilgrims. Mt. Jiuhua became the holy land worshipped by the belivers from afar. On July 30th of the lunar calendar, lots of pilgrims flock to Jiuhuashan for the annual festival held on the anniversary of Jin’s death. A large number of monks, nuns, pilgrims and tourists come to burn incense, chant the scriptures, and sacrifice food. Around that day every year, the whole mountain is a site of a temple fair, it is enshrouded in the smoke of burning incense, the air is resounded with the chanting of incantations and the beating of drums, gongs and the tolling of bells.{The four most important Jiuhuan monasteries are Qiyuan temple; Huacheng temple; Longevity palace and Tiantai temple. The whole mountain can be divided into five scenic areas, they are the followings: Front scenic area; Jiuhua Street scenic area; Flower Terrace scenic area; Minyuan scenic area and Tiantai scenic area.ok, let’s visit them one by one.Dear friends, Time flies quickly and your trip to China is drawing to an end.
