If the current track is the last one on source media, pressing next will enter PAUSE mode.If the current track is the first one on source media, pressing previous will enter PAUSE mode.--- Keep this key pressed for at least 1 sec to fast forward/fast backward.FF/FB can start from any position. This search modes is available for(CD/MP3), if unknown file types are encountered, the files are skipped.PTY Press this key shortly to toggle the PTY selection mode ON/OFF. The interval of checking time of each AFs depends on the signalstrength/quality of current station, from a few minutes for a strong station to afew seconds for a weak station.Every time the new AF is stronger than the current station , the radio switchesover to the AF frequency for a very short time, and NEW FREQUENCE isdisplayed for 1~2 second. When an RDS station is stored, PI, PS, AF list are stored as well.--- DISC/USB/SD mode:Press this key to switch PAUSE/PLAY when in DISC/USB/SD mode.In PAUSE mode, servo will PAUSE and text message is displayed.In Play mode, servo will continue to play and the tack info is displayed.Press this key to toggle the INT mode ON/OFF in DISC/USB/SD mode.When INT is activated, only a part of each track/song is played for a defined time (10 seconds).REP SHUFFLE Press this key to toggle the REPEAT mode ON/OFF in DISC/USB/SD mode. When repeat mode is activated, the current track or current folder is played continuously.Press this key to toggle the SHUFFLE mode ON/OFF in DISC/USB/SD mode. MODE DESCRIPTION6.1 Power Mode DescriptionThe system has three power stages as below.4Power stage transition diagramBACK-UPPrinciple function: Power saving mode, backing up the user memories in low current consumption which is mainly achieved by setting MCU to low power consumption workingmode.Inputs: If ACC-ON = L is kept for at least 50 millisecond, system will back up current work mode and some information and then go to back-up power mode. Outputs: Output pins are L, I/O pins are input.Display: LCD off.STAND-BYPrinciple function: This is the power off mode with clock still being displayed.Inputs: If ACC-ON = H is kept for at least 200 millisecond and power state is set from on to off (by POWER key), system will go to stand-by power mode. Outputs: POWER port = HDisplay: Clock is displayedPOWER ONPrinciple function: System works in one of the following modes.•Radio mode•Disc mode•USB mode•SD mode•AUX modeInputs: If ACC-ON = H is kept for at least 200 millisecond and one of the followingconditions appears, system will go to power-on mode.(1)Power state is set to ON (by POWER key).(2)Insert DISC or plug in USB or SD device.Outputs: POWER port = H and change to work mode.Display: One of working mode is displayed6.2 Work Mode Description6.2.1 Radio ModeThis reference platform is compatible for FST/FST08 (TDA7540/TDA7541) tuner solution and HIT (TDA7705) tuner solution. Customer can select one of these solutions for their customization design. FST/FST08:FST/FST08 (TDA7540/TDA7541) is a high performance tuner circuit for AM/FM car radio. It contains mixer, IF amplifier, demodulator for AM and FM, stereo decoder, quality detection, ISS filter and PLL synthesizer with IF counter on a single chip.HIT:Highly Integrated Tuner (TDA7705) is a new generation of high performance tuners for car radio applications. It contains mixers and IF amplifiers for AM and FM, fully integrated VCO and PLL synthesizer, IF-processing including adaptive bandwidth control, Stereo decoder and RDS on a single chip. The utilization of digital signal processing results in numerous advantages against current generation analog tuners:– Very low number of external components– Very small space and easy application– Very high selectivity due to digital filters– High flexibility by software control– Automatic alignment.The following is the tuner control main flowchart in radio mode.Tuner Power Off(1)Band Change FunctionUse “BAND” key to change band in radio mode. The bands shown in the table below are implemented on this reference platform. A system soft mute is applied during the band transition period.(2)Preset Load/Save FunctionUse “M1~M6” key to load and save the preset frequency. Auto seek has local and distant auto seek modes. The difference of seek sensitivity is about 20db between local and distant auto search in this platform. If AF is on, this function only searches the RDS stations.(4)PS/AS functionPress “PS/AS” key shortly to activate preset scan function (radio tunes to each of the 6 preset memory frequencies of the current band in turn and stays there for 5 seconds) in radio mode.Keep “PS/AS” button pressed for at least 1 second to activate auto store function to search the six strongest stations and then store them to the corresponding preset number automatically. If station’s PTY code in whole band is not matched to user-selected PTY type, the radio will automatically give up this searching operation and display “No Match” and then tune back to the previous station. If radio searches a station whose program type is matched to selected PTY code, then radio will stop at this station and then turn off PTY mode.(2) AF modeEnter/Exit AF mode: Press “AF” key to toggle AF mode ON and OFF. If RDS information is received in AF mode, the “AF” indicator is ON. And if RDS information is not received yet in AF mode, the“AF” indicator is blinking.AF (Alternative Frequency):When poor reception is experienced, the radio system will automatically switch to another frequency broadcasting the same program in the same RDS network with better reception during AF mode. Since the mute time during AF switching and quality checking is very short, the disturbance is inaudible for the listener.(3)TA modeEnter/Exit TA mode:Press “TA” key to toggle TA mode ON and OFF. During TA mode, the “TA” indicator is ON.TA search: When TA is activated, the radio will start a search procedure (TA seek) which stop only at the station transmitting traffic program or the station whose EON station transmitting traffic program. Switching to traffic information station:During the TA mode, the radio system will switch to traffic information automatically when a traffic bulletin starts even when the user is not listening to the radio. It changes back to the previous operation mode (CD/USB/Disc or Aux) after the traffic announcement has finished.(4)REG modeEnter/Exit REG mode: Press “REG” key to toggle REG mode ON and OFF. During REG mode, the “REG” indicator is ON.Restricting RDS region: the user can activate the REG mode to choose whether or not to restrict the AF function of the RDS channel to a specific region. The AccordoPlus is a single chip device that performs all functions related to read back of optical disk: servo control operations, optical disc reading, high frequency signals decoding, EFM decoding, error correction, software decoding of MP3 and WMA encoded audio, sample rate conversion, file system management, of audio/program serial transfer.The CD/MP3 functions are easily implemented through communication interface control bus between the CD/MP3 player (module) and the host unit of the automotive entertainment system.(1)Source SpecificationDevice type: DISC, USB, SDDISC type: CD-DA, mix-compress-disc, mix-data-disc, data-disc.USB type: Meet Full-speed USB2.0 standard.Supported transfers according to Low/Full Speed specificationSupported Mass-storage devices with BOT (Bulk-only transfer) interface class.SCSI sub-class (0x06) protocol is supported (typically used not only by Flash devices). Even when Power is off (ACC has to be on), the system can be woken up and turned to these modes.(3)Function DescriptionPlay and Pause:Press “M1/Pause” key to toggle between pause and play in disc/USB/SD operation mode. When pause mode is activated, the system will temporarily stop and stay at the position where pause started. Audio will be muted in pause mode. When this key is pressed again, the system will continue to play from that position onward and track information will be displayed.Load/Eject: Press “Load/Eject” key to load/Eject disc to/from loaderTrack up/down: Press “T_Up” or “T_Dn” keys to jump to the next or previous track.Fast forward/backward:Keep “T_Up” or “T_Dn” keys pressed for at least 1 second to fast forward/backward at specified speed in DISC, USB and SD working mode.Scan: Press “M2/Int” key to activate the scan mode. When scan mode is activated, only a part of each track/song is played for a defined time (10 seconds).Repeat: Press “M3/Rep” key to activate the repeat mode. The same track is played over and over.
