Mo Yan, a farmer’s son, who was born in Gaomi Shandong Province on Feb.17th1955, is a famous writer in China .
When he was young ,he was fond of listening to stories and had a talent for telling stories. Having lived in his hometown for 21years he joined the army in 1976 , when he began to write stories . In 1984, he was admitted into a university ,majoring in literature ,where he wrote many short stories, mainly aiming at showing country life. Meanwhile , he formed his own writing style.
Only by making every effort to create new works has he been awarded the 2012 Nobel Prize for Literature .And he is famous at home and abroad.
