当时在纺织技术尚未发明之前，动物的毛皮是服饰 最主要的材料。当时还没有绳、线，衣服可能用动 物韧带来缝制,。那时的人认为，早晨天未亮时， 天空是黑色（称“玄”），上衣如天，所以用玄色。 而大地为黄色，下裳如地，服饰用黄色，以此来表 达对天地的崇拜。那时的衣服没有男女之分。

Han Dynasty
China’s complete code of costume and trappings was established in the Han Dynasty. The costume code of the Western Hand nasty followed the one established in the Qin Dynasty. In the Eastern Han Dynasty, people in black had to wear purple silk adornments to match their clothes. The Western Han Dynasty implemented the Shenyi (long coat) system， which featured cicadashaped hat, red clothes and “田”-shaped collar. In addition, people of that time wore jade articles(玉器） and red shoes.
