比赛结果将在两分钟后公布，谢谢大家！长江大学女子学院九班14周英语演讲比赛规则一、比赛规则1、演讲顺序：比赛前抽签决定。
2、演讲时间：演讲时间不得超过5分钟，每超时10秒扣掉2分，不足10秒按10秒计算。
3、演讲比赛评分：采取100分制。
二、评分标准1、演讲内容（40分）主题鲜明、中心突出，结构严谨、层次清晰，内容正确、联系实际，选材典型、杜绝抄袭。
2、演讲有声语言(30分)语音标准，声音洪亮，语速适当，语调仰扬顿挫，富有变化。
3、演讲态势技能(20分)表情丰富，动作得体、手势自然，服装适宜。
4、整体效果（10分）可脱稿演讲，节奏把握好，内涵与表情相结合，以情感人，以形传神，感染力强。
可用ppt辅助演讲。
三、评分办法1、比赛设7名评委，现场打分；2、去掉一个最高分和一个最低分，取平均分；3、选手最后得分精确到小数点后一位，若出现同分，则精确到后两位，依此类推；4、根据总分的高低评出特等、一、二、三等奖及优秀奖。

crossing the seagood afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. the title of my speech today is crossingthe sea. an english poet by the name of rudyard kipling once wrote in his poem weand they: all the people like us are weand everyone else is theywe live over the seawhile they live over the waywe eat pork and beef with cowhorn-handled knives they who gobble their riceoff a leafare horrified out of their lives. when these lines first caught my eyes, i was shocked-how could two peoples remainso isolated and ignorant of each other in the past? todays society, of course, isan entirely different picture. those people who used to eat with cowhorn-handledknives might be very skillful in using chopsticks, and those people who used to gobbletheir rice might be as well have taken to fish and chips. indeed, just take china as an example: our modern life has been influenced bywestern style of living in so many ways that its no longer surprising to see teenagersgoing crazy about rock-and-roll, whole families dining out at mcdonalds and evenrather elderly people dressed in apple jeans. however, these are only some expressions of the cultural changes taking placein our society today. what is really going on is a subtle but significant restructuringof the nations mentality. just look around. it istherefore evident that we as descendants of an ancient eastern civilizationare already living under strong inf1uence of the western culture. but it is not onlyin china that we find the incorporation of the two cultures. take the chinese acupuncture as another example: this traditional treatment ofdiseases is finally finding its way to the west and hence the underlying notion thatillness is resulted from the imbalance between yin and yang within the body -- anidea which would strike any westerner as incredible in the past! ladies and gentlemen, we live in a great epoch when the global integration ofeconomy and the information revolution have brought cultures of the world closer thanever before. we live in a particular era when countries, east and west, find themselvesin need of readjusting their traditional values. we live, at the same time, at acritical juncture of our evolution because such problems as ethnic conflicts andregional uest are increasingly posing a threat to the peace and happiness of thewhole human race. to cope with such an era and to embrace an even brightertherefore, it is our sacred responsibility to promote the cultural exchanges and hence the mutual understanding between china and the rest of the world.it is my happiest dream that the new generation of chinese will not only grow up drinking coca-cola and watching hollywood, but also be blessed with thefar-reaching benefits of multiple cultures; benefits that our forefathers had never,ever dreamed of.to end my speech, i would like to quote rudyard kipling again: all the people like us are we and everyone else is theybut once you cross over the seayou will end by looking on we as only a sort of they thank you.译文:穿越海洋女士们、先生们，晚上好。
