Award Policy for BIMUN 2018
(For ECOSOC, UNDP, UNESCO, UNEP, IMF, UNWTO)
Award of Best Delegate and Outstanding Delegate The Awards will be granted to individuals who have excellent overall performance during the conference. The following criteria are of concern: • Adequate preparation for committee topics and representing countries, • Professional observance of rules and procedures, • Excellent communication skills and effectiveness in formal speeches and debates, • Outstanding teamwork ability with partners and other delegates, • Exceptional ability to develop pragmatic and concrete solutions to issues concerned, • Proficiency in using official language and elegant in manner and style, • Significant promotion of the conference by breaking a deadlock. Award of Best Diplomacy The Awards will be honoured to individuals who demonstrate the quality ouring the conference. The awarded delegates should be: • Firm with the country position, • Professional in rules and procedures, • Skilful at addressing and debating with fluent official language, • Charismatic and proficient in diplomatic proprieties. Award of Best Paper The Awards will be selected based on the quality of the document each delegate submits. An outstanding Paper should: • Strictly follow the requirements of the Paper Policy, • Include all the required contents as stated in the background guide, • Provide pragmatic and concrete solutions to issues concerned, • Be written in professional English.
Award of Honourable Mention The Awards will be presented to individuals who have good overall performance during the conference. The following criteria are of concern: • Adequate preparation for committee topics and representing countries, • Professional observance of rules and procedures, • Good communication skills and effectiveness in formal speeches and debates, • Fine teamwork ability with partners and other delegates, • Satisfactory ability to develop pragmatic and concrete solutions to issues concerned, • Proficiency in using official language and elegant in manner and style.
