由媒人列出男方需送彩礼细目并与男方家长商讨决定。 The matchmaker writes out the betrothal card and negotiated with the bride’s family to decide the items that the bridegroom’s family should provide as gifts.
3.夫妻对拜 The Third Bow 夫妻对拜表示夫妻要恩爱到白头。（夫妻友爱）
The third bow is that the new couple bow to each other that means they should love to old age.

媒人将男女双方生辰八字交予算命先 生算出是否匹配。
Horoscope — the matchmaker takes the eight characters about both the bride and bridegroom’s birthdays to the fortune-teller to decide whether it is a good match.

新郎胸前戴一朵大红花，骑在高头大马上。 The bridegroom rides on a big horse with a red Silk flower .

新娘为表达对母亲和家人的依依不舍，要哭着上轿。 The bride must cry to show her reluctance to leave home .

（四）跨火盆 Stride the fire pan
一对新人要从预先摆好的火盆上跨过，意思是烧去一 切不吉利的东西，日后夫妻会越过越红火。 The couple have to stride from the fire pan set previously ,meaning to burn all unlucky things and the future will be more and more prosperous.
结婚的前一天，女方嫁妆要送到新郎家。 Usually， the bride’s dowry shall be sent to the bridegroom’s family by the day before the wedding day．

（一）迎亲Escorting Bride to Groom's House
婚礼当天，迎亲队伍敲锣打鼓地陪同新郎去接新娘。 On the day of wedding，usually a crowd of people would escort the bridegroom to fetch the bride，while musicians would play joyful tunes during the entire trip.

囍（xǐ），双喜 指婚姻中男女双方共同迎接喜庆的一天。
1.拜天地 The First Bow
拜天地是让天地做新人结婚的证人。 The first bow is to Tian(天）and Earth.
2.拜高堂 The Second Bow 拜高堂是为了感谢父母的养育之恩。
The second bow is to thank the parents for their lives and happiness.

(四）置办嫁妆 Dowry
当花轿停在男方家门前时，新郎至轿前，轻踢轿门一 脚，新娘还踢一脚。 When arriving at the gate, the bridegroom would kick the curtain of the sedan chair. Then, the bride should kick back.

（五） 三拜 Three Bows
新人要共拉一条红绸沿红毯走到正堂，实施三 次拜礼。
The new couple hold the two ends of a red ribbon respectively and meet on the red carpet on lobby. Based on the custom they would have three bows.

由儿女双全的人来布置婚房。 A man and woman with any children of both sexes were selected to install a newly purchased room．
