一.Teaching Aims
1,Knowledge aim:
(1)Students will be able to master some words of weather”hot,cold,warm,cool”.
(2)Students will be able to learn and master the sentence structure a bout describing weather”What’s the weather like?”
2.Ability Aim: Through discussion, students can develop their ability o f communication.
3.Emotional Aim:Students can get more interests in learning English.二.Teaching Key Points:
New words: cool, cold, hot, warm, weather
Sentence structure: It is …. in …/”What’s the weather like?三.Teaching Difficult point:How to help the students describe the weather and talk about simple weather.
四.Teaching Methods: Task-based teaching method, situational teaching method
五:Teaching Procedures:
In this class,I’ll let students have PK and give water through the whole teaching procedures.
Step 1: warming up and lead-in
After greeting, I will start my class like this: Do you like songs?Sing the song”If you are happy”together and clap hands in order to arouse students’ interests.
I’ll show a map of China,and say”Was your winter holiday happy?Let’s have a wonderful trip today ”as a lead in.
Step 2 presentation
I will show places by a map where I traveled during winter holiday ”then learn the places.
Next,I will introduce the weather of four place s that there are the temperature .and I will write ”hot,cold,warm,cool”on the blackboard . Then , According to it, students will learn”It’s...in...today .
Then, I will show som e pictures and play a game “guess,guess,guess”to help students consolidate the new words.
Finally,According to the pronunciation of”ther””ea”,let students learn the pronunciation of “w--ea--ther”,next learn the expression of asking weather .
Step 3 Practice
Before the step,I will let students watch a video and have a rest.
I will ask students a question : Now,I want to travel,but how to know the weather?”to learn “ the weather report”, then get the students to watch the video and repeat to correct the pronunciation of each word .
Next,I’ll pick up four students to act it and let students to role play in groups.
Step 4 production
1,Present a map ,then according to “Let’s learn” ,let students to make a new “weather report”.In order to help students to u se the knowledge fluently
in a true situation.
2,Help students to consolidate the knowledge by “Form the sentences “and “Listen and tick”.
Step 5 Summary and Homework
Summary by a chant
Homework: ★: Talk the weather with your parents.
