The brief history of Australia
Washminster 是 Washington 和 Westminster 的缩 写，分别是美国议会和英国议会所在地。澳大利亚的政 治体制是英美政治体制的混合体，其结构采用的是各州 联邦制，并设有三级政府，但是政府的执行官史总理而 不是总统。

Australian has been called a “washminster” form of polity. In other words it is a mixture of the US, Washington system of government and the British , westminster system: the political structure is based on a federation of states and has a three-tier system of government .But the chief executive is a prime minister not a president.
political Party (政党)
Australia has many political party。 The members of parliament generally belong to one of the two major political parties, the Australian Labour Party (ALP) or the coalition, as its name implies, the coalition comprises a combination of two parties —— the liberals party and the nationals party. Each party sets out a party programme(政党纲领), a set of basic principles and policies that align with those principles. 1. ALP 澳大利亚工党 .是澳大利亚最早成立的政党。起源于19 世纪 末的工会运动。提倡多元文化主义，理性经济主义。 2. The liberals 自由党。 成立于1909年，遵循当时英国自 由党的一些理念和政策，是澳大利亚主要的保守派政党。 3. The nationals 国家党 ,是澳大利亚第三大党，代表农场主 的利益。
